Puppy Pictures

Puppies are eating their porrage (rice cereal), getting a bath, eventually today getting their nails clipped, weighed and pictures.  They will be four weeks old!  OMGosh!  how the heck do these puppies grow so fast?!


I have to say though ... these puppies have beautiful faces

Georgia

Georgia weighed 2#14oz today.  She was calm with her eyes big and rolling at me as I bathed her.  She's a very sweet girl.  Her testing will be interesting ... she's been a rough houser and now today she's completely calm and looking around.

Genevieve

Genevieve weighed 3#14oz today.  She still has the butterball-ness to her but she is definitely that much larger than Georgia.   She just rolled around with warm water washing her, she's a sweetheart, reminds me of Hilde ... mild mannered.  After she got to the floor she did some talking at me that's for sure!  

Gervais

Gervais weighed 3#13oz today.  Brought him in the kitchen and he listened to the rooster next door.  He's an easy favorite, I clap my hands softly and he walks to me.  He wants everything I'm trying to keep him away from but doesn't want the food.  I guess I picked feeding time when he's not hungry.  Got a bath too.  He's happy to look me in the face, easy peesy to get his picture today.

Grigg

Grigg is the little guy and very sweet, weighed 3#3oz today.  He was hungry and quick, very alert, a "Everad mini-me?"  I put the camera to him and he runs to it and mouths it.  Just like his Dad!

Gregory

Gregory weighed 4#3oz today, definitely a small to regular sized standard poodle.   He also likes to look you in the face, a complete sweetheart.  Loves to eat, he's the big boy!

Georgie

Georgie weighed 3#12oz today.  He's so much like his momma, when there's food ... get out of the way, he's hungry.  I think I had as much on me as he ate!  Put him in with Gregory and he's cleaning his face.

Ginger

Ginger weighed 3#5oz today.

Gidget

Gidget weighed 3#2oz today.  She's as busy and wiggly as her brother Grigg.  She has Everad's face and wiggly-ness.  We will see if she's as cuddly as her daddy.

Gypsy

Gypsy weighed 2#11oz today.  She looks like Gidget with her small face, I think she's more of a combination of momma and daddy, she's not as wiggly as Gidget.  She's very sweet.

Small Standards

Ginger, today weighed 3#5oz

 will be one of the larger small standards, I'll guess 22-23"

Standard Puppy

Gregory, today weighed 4#2oz

We brought Hilde home when she was 11 weeks old, she weighed 10.4# and was 12 1/4" tall

At one year old she was 20" tall about 32#.  Not pregnant or nursing she weighs 33# and is now 21.5" tall at 2.5 years old.  Hilde looks black, she has a few lighter hairs around her nose and some "greying" all over her body.  At 8 months old she had so much "brownish hue" she was mistaken for a brown puppy.

We got Everad when he was 9.5 months old, he was 17" tall and weighed 22#.  At 18 months old he grew 1.5" and now weighs 24# at three years old.  Everad was jet black until he was 2.4 years old his face turned "blue" overnight, one day we woke up and he had a light silvery nose, he is a blue.

no comments on color yet, there's several that have the brownish hue,

a silver puppy and a blue puppy will have the brownish hue

waiting to see who's faces start to lighten

it's so fun to watch the puppies grow and see who will actually be silver.

"Conner" now Teddy was 5.5 weeks old in this picture, he was the first puppy out of three silver puppies that showed lightening first

"Fiona" born 10/13/2011 was 4 weeks old in this picture, she's obvious silver at a very young age.  By the time she was 6 wks old she looked like she had goggles on around her eyes the hair was so light.
