Genevieve's Brother Elliott

a little sneak preview of how "Elliott" is being trained as a therapy doggie for the PaWWs (wounded veterans), Genevieve has been enlisted in the same program, Maggie was so happy with her progress in the first couple of days, she asked to get another puppy from us with Grace & Everad the end of the year.  Maggie says Genevieve is as beautiful and smart as her brother.  Click on the Utube link to see his progress, he was born April 19th ... wow, he's only 10.5 months old, what a especially smart guy!

Puppies shots today

Grigg, Georgie and Gervais all got their second puppy shot today.

Gervais had diaherra on monday, took his stool in and it came back clear for any parasites.  My vet is extra careful so they all got a dose of StrongID today just in case they have dormant eggs getting ready to hatch.  Puppies are doing well and clear of any parasites, pretty good huh?

new pictures coming soon ... so the puppies can run the acre a couple of times a day just to wear them out... the yard needs a lot of attention so pictures are coming soon, probably for sure by Tuesday,

Genevieve

... oh I forgot to take her picture with her new momma this morning,

Genevieve has been chosen to go to PpaWws (follow on facebook) to be trained as wounded veterans therapy doggie.  They have one other boy from us "Elliott" from April 2010's litter.

Elliott and Genevieve are half siblings of Everad's.

they are so wonderful to keep to our alphabetized litters naming and incorporate their naming puppies with military significance.

they will keep her name "Genevieve" since the first Coast Guard yomen women were Lucile and  Genevieve Baker.  Maggie's husband is in the marines, Maggie and many others throughout the U.S. and the world understand the need for wounded veterans to benefit through having a trained companion (doggie) to help with many things.  Our little puppy "Genevieve" is now enlisted into their training program to assist her lifetime veteran when she's ready.  She goes to a "foster" home to be trained to help pick up a bottled perscription, alert a veteran that might be having a seisure, etc.  We are honored to have now two puppies in this program.  Please follow Genevieve's very important life dues.

My husband is retired from the Coast Guard after 32 years of service enlisted and reserves. He continues to work for the Coast Guard as a government employee and will retire in five-six years. He served two years in Kuwait to support ships coming into the middle east with his network engineering expertise.

blessings to Genevieve and all

article on Coast Guard women:

WOMEN IN THE COAST GUARD
by Elizabeth A. Neely

Women have earned their place in the Coast Guard throughout it's history, serving with distinction. Whether under the auspices of the Revenue Cutter Service, the Lighthouse Service, the Life Saving Service or the Coast Guard of today. Women have contributed to and complimented the various missions of the service . . .

(edited sections out, see link above)

. . . As nations moved into the 20th Century, conflicts occurred which required military action. The Coast Guard responded, and women continued to contribute their services. During World War I, Genevieve and Lucille Baker, 19-year old twins from Brooklyn, New York enlisted in the Naval Coast Defense Reserve. Utilizing women's civilian skills reduced the need for further training. The bookkeeping experience the Baker twins possessed enabled them to become the Coast Guard's first "Yeomanettes." It's Windy!

this is what SoCal looks like in February ... windy!

Georgie's Video and Pictures

Georgie weiged 9# today, he's a sweet baby boy, cuddly and playful.  I've been taking them out to run the yard twice a day, he doesn't see why he would stand on a table for pictures, but he did what I asked of him, he's a nice, sweet, wonderful puppy.  Georgie is a small to regular sized standard poodle boy.  Which ever size he will be, he is and will be an excellent high quality poodle.
The puppies are growing ... they are thinning out and getting rid of the puppy belly and lengthening, really great puppies for a really great home.

Georgie is available for $1500

great way to a puppy's tummy ... salomi!

washed his face after the meat eating,

Grigg's Video and Pictures

Grigg is 9 weeks old and one day, he weighs 7.5# today

Grigg is a sweet boy.  He's a klein/moyen puppy, will be about 25# full grown.  He's a delight and a cuddly puppy.  As always, his photo shoot includes no fear of heights and will run right off of the table if need be ... lol.  He's calm but also playful, looking for playful opportunities and fun things to do.  He lays down and wiggles around like his daddy.  He doesn't see why he can't get down and play or be held and cuddled.  Grigg is available for $1800.

He's a sweet little guy looking for a great home

lots of pictures of Grigg today

heights does not bother Grigg, he does push his boundaries

Gervias Pictures

Gervais is 9 weeks and one day old today, weighed 9# on his 9th week b-day.  He's a sweet, wonderful puppy.  He will be registered as "blue" boy, his face looks like he was going to be silver, but he is "blue", he will be lighter than either of his parents.  Would be funny as heck if these puppies actually will look silver ... but ... we only register a puppy as silver when they have complete silver face at six weeks old.  Gervais is available for $1500.

whatever he will look like when he's three years old, the one thing about Gervais is he's an awesome puppy with a great personality for loving and training in anything you'd like to do with him.

I put him on the grooming table ... puppies have a natural fear of heights ... mother's nature way of keeping a little puppy safe ... his tail is ALWAYS up, he's a little unsure what to do on the table and back up and start taking pictures ... cute little guy just looked at me and sniffed around.

not even a bone can take his attention away from the height

Georgia MOVIE & Pictures 9 weeks old

Georgia weighed 6.5# at 9 weeks old, she is a sweet, calm and gorgeous puppy, very lightweight body and sweet disposition, will be a great companion for a loving, wonderful family.

Georgia is available for $1800

LOL, let's talk about getting a puppy to hold still for a picture! ... she's excited to be out in the sun after her face shaven and bath ... woohoo!

drying off in the sun, she's very poofy and wet
